Hey Jesse,

            Wanted to write you a note about the success of the Sturgis Promotion that we ran in 2005. This was the First year that we had a chance to participate in this promotion and I want to tell you how much of an all-around success it was.

            It’s no secret that Biker community is a large part of or Demo that we target and for years we had much to offer these listeners with a Clear Channel National contest called the “Harley Days of May” and with that program going away we needed something to fill the void and the Sturgis trip was a Perfect Fit!!!

            Finding a sponsor for this promotion was very easy… In fact we found 4… A local Harley Dealer in town jumped on board as the title sponsor, providing: Airfare, Hotels for winners, Transportation of the Bikes, $500 in cash, New Leather Jackets and Helmets, and a ton of swag to give away at Bike Night Bar Promotions. Then we tagged Budweiser on to the promotion to offer Beer Specials at our Gigs and more Give-aways. With the ISDN Lines taken care of by The Full Throttle Saloon, it was easy to get approval from the Programming Dept. to Broadcast Live from the bar. When we got to The Full Throttle Saloon everything was taken care of and there was plenty of things to talk about, Great interviews available and the Fun atmosphere flowed out over the air and sounded GREAT!!! People from all over the Tri-State gathered everyday at my broadcast location to represent their hometown and to say Hello to everyone listening at home.

            This promotion was a Win- Win-Win; the station won big, the listeners got involved and had a chance at an incredible prize and the clients were more than happy with the pay-off. You can count us in for this promotion every year!!!! – It nails or Demos and adds a “Cool Factor” to the Radio station that is priceless.

            Thanks Again for everything you did to make this happen and for all the help and hospitality at the event… Looking forward to this years rally!!!!

Sincerely;
Rick “The Dude” Vaske

Mayor Mark Zeigler

“First-time rally-goers are pleasantly surprised to find that the Black Hills are home to the highest concentration of parks, monuments and memorials in the country,” says Sturgis Mayor Mark Zeigler. “That’s what really defines the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally experience. It’s all about the ride – discovering attractions like the four faces of freedom at Mount Rushmore, the massive carving at Crazy Horse Memorial and the wandering herds of buffalo in Custer State Park, all in a single day.”
